The Revolution in the Orchard. 

April 19th through 21st, 2024

This year's 3-day event kicked off on April 19th, which is the 249th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord. These battles marked the beginning of the American War of Independence.

 

Guests experienced a taste of the founding of our great nation. Volunteer historians and reenactors from all over the United States gathered at this event to share living history with guests. This family-friendly event featured dozens of historical interpreters representing the soldiers and civilians of the American Revolution, demonstrating all aspects of daily and military life. 

 

Events Included:

  • Witness reenactments of the American War of Independence (1775-1783) with two daily battle reenactments with muskets & cannons!

  • Live cannon demonstrations.

  • Meet General George Washington and other important historical figures of the time! 

  • Join the colonial militia and learn how to march and drill with wooden muskets! 

  • Visit the Heroic Hare tavern to play period games and get the latest news of the day! 

  • Local & 18th-century merchants, crafters, and delicious food & drink will be on hand!
