It delights us to be able to provide our guests with an amazing environment to create lasting memories and snap their cherished family photos.

Below is some general information to help make your farm experience as safe and fun as possible. Please be sure to read carefully and ask our friendly staff any additional questions you may have.

DOES JULIAN FARM AND ORCHARD ALLOW PETS?

Well behaved leashed dogs are allowed on the farm.  Dogs must remain on pathways and outside of the crop areas.  Pet owners are expected to clean up after their pets. There is a handwashing station next to the porta potties in the front part of the farm. Our full Animal Policy can be found here.

DO YOU HAVE RESTROOMS?

Porta Potties and hand washing stations are located near the Animal Sanctuary.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Please wear closed-toed shoes to protect your toes. Additionally, bring hats, sunglasses, umbrellas, sunscreen, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (this is a farm and it’s bound to happen).  We recommend checking the daily weather prior to your visit. Julian's climate varies greatly season to season.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME DURING MY VISIT?

Bring a picnic. We have plenty of shaded tables throughout the property and relaxing common areas for you to enjoy.

Strollers are welcome although they may be difficult to push around our farm as pathways are not entirely smooth and may pose a challenge for stroller wheels.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

Yes! We have ample parking and it’s ALWAYS FREE!

WHEN IS THE FARM OPEN?

Our hours vary by season. Please be sure to check our posted hours here on our website and social media before your visit.

IS JULIAN FARM AND ORCHARD DANGEROUS?

We offer a safe and unique experience for the whole family. That being said, please remember that Julian Farm and Orchard is a place of nature and requires precaution and awareness of risks. Please be mindful of the small but natural hazards present at our farm.

WHAT IS U-PICK?

U-pick offerings variety by season and may be limited due to environmental factors. Weather and demand can affect the supply of the crop. We never know how many guests will arrive on any given day, so it’s first come, first picked. Our farm produce is grown, of course, on the ground, so always wash your fruit first, before eating. Here is a list of what we have:

Berries (May-October, supply is limited)

  • Raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries are available seasonally while the crop lasts.

  • Please purchase a provided U-Pick container from our staff upon entering the farm.

  • We sell container fills, not belly fills. Please do not eat the berries while on the farm.

  • You must pay for everything you pick.

  • Our berry plants are thornless!

  • Pick only FULLY RIPE berries. A ripe berry will come off the vine easily.

  • The best berries are usually berried (pun intended). Look for berries from the ground up and different angles.

  • GENTLY move the leaves from side to side to help expose berries hidden by the leaves.

Sunflowers (while supply lasts)

  • Our staff will inform you of our pricing.

  • We will provide you with a bucket and cutting sheers.

  • Please do not walk in our flower patch.

  • Cut sunflowers that are open. We cannot guarantee that unopened sunflowers will bloom.

  • Return to the ticket booth or gift shop to pay for your flowers and get a cup of water to go.
