HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE NAPOLEONIC REENACTMENT?

We highly encourage all who attend to interact with the reenactors.

Each reenactor will be giving their impressions of people who lived in the Napoleonic era or portraying a particular historical group.

Ask them their name or their role in the war.

Ask them what side they are on and why.

Ask them questions about their outfit.

Ask them about their camp setup.

Ask them about historic battles and events that took place during the Napoleonic era.

Ask them about the different flags and symbols you see.

·Ask them what unit they belong to.

·Ask them what inspired them to get involved in living history.

· Ask them for resources on where to learn more information.

· Ask them about other living history events.

Reenactor Participation

All participant impressions from the Napoleonic period are welcome: military, civilian, French, allies, infantry, and cavalry.

Please be as historically accurate/plausible in your clothing and gear as possible, but we’re not going to “police” you. Our aim is inclusion and growth of Napoleonic reenactment.

Set up is encouraged on Friday May 2nd from 2pm onward. For safety reasons, vehicles will not be allowed in encampments during public hours.

Participant camping is encouraged on Friday and Saturday nights.

There is no “admission” or “site” fee to participants, but since our parent organization Brigade Napoleon provides event insurance coverage, all participants should be members, though it is not required to attend. Annual membership is $25usd, and should be paid directly to the organization.
